Since 2006, PPR has worked to support local communities and groups to use make change on the issues that affect them through meaningful participation and the application of international human rights standards.
PPR’s approach uses a combination of organising, research, legal work and campaigning to empower excluded groups to make change now on the issues that affect them, and to build towards lasting structural changes in the decision making processes that are the cause of their exclusion.
The work of PPR’s groups has led to tangible changes on the ground in some of the most disadvantaged areas in Belfast, and has also provided valuable learning on what is required to make change.
The inaugural PPR Tools for Action Summer School was held in 2011, and attended by a wide range of organisations and individuals interesting in exploring how to apply approach on their own issues.
